The Chester Metropolitan District wishes to notify its customers that the repair work performed on November 13, 2019 in the Fort Lawn area is not yet complete. We have determined that additional parts and equipment will be required to complete the repair. A timeline for completion of the repair work has not yet been established.

The Boil Water Notice remain active until additional sampling can be performed.

CMD’s Water Filtration Plant is back online and the system has resumed normal operation. However, due to the below-freezing temperatures, maintenance crews are unable to flow fire hydrants as the discharged water can freeze on roads and cause severe traffic hazards. As a result, customers may continue to experience discolored water this evening and into tomorrow.

Crews will resume flushing activities as soon as it is safe to do so.
