Chester Metropolitan District (CMD) will continue repair operations on the 30” water main in the town of Fort Lawn on Friday.  Currently, work has stopped and CMD is waiting on the delivery of a heavy-duty tapping saddle from a manufacturer in Texas which is expected for Friday morning, November 15, 2019.

Water service will be interrupted along SC Route 9 between the US 21 bridge and the Catawba River beginning at 1 pm, Friday, November 15, 2019. 

The “Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until further notice.          

Customers may continue to see discolored water throughout the weekend. Severely discolored water should be reported to CMD at (803) 385-5123.
