Chester
Metropolitan District (CMD) has completed its second round of system-wide
bacteriological sampling. All samples have indicated no presence of
bacteria in the drinking water and are considered “passing”.
CMD
has lifted the “Boil Water Notice” and all water customers may begin normal
water use for drinking, cooking, and other uses. Customers may continue
to experience intermittent periods of slightly discolored water and are
encouraged to contact Chester Metropolitan District at (803) 385-5123 if this
condition occurs.
Customers
are encouraged to flush all faucets before resuming regular water use and
discard any ice made prior to 8:00 AM on November 18, 2019.
Chester
Metropolitan District wishes to thank all water customers for their patience
during this difficult ordeal. We would like to emphasize the importance
of protecting the health and well-being of our customers. You may contact our
office at (803) 385-5123 if you have further questions.
