New Service Taps

Procedure for New Service

If you have been directed by CMD staff to fill out a tap application, please click the links below to submit your information online. A Customer Service Representative will contact you to discuss all fees and deposits. The following steps are required to establish a new water service with CMD. For more information, please review our Water Tap Responsibility Policy.

In some cases where an existing service has been vacant for an extended period of time, a tap application and/or fee may be required to re-establish water service.

  • Service Availability Request: New Development must fill out a Service Availability Request to ensure public water is available. As part of our agreement with CWR, a copy of this request will be sent for wastewater service as well.
  • New Tap Application: This form allows our Customer Service Representatives to collect new service information. A tap fee is required.
  • Capital Recovery Fees: New developments may be subject to a Capital Recovery Fee.
  • Service Application: The final step to obtaining service. The Service Application allows our CSRs to establish your water service account. A credit check through Online Utility Exchange will determine the amount of your water deposit, if any. Please be aware that wastewater service deposits will be required, and those fees are set by their governing agency, not CMD.
