Governor McMaster has extended the State of Emergency for the State of South Carolina until May 27, 2020. Because of this and the uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus, the Chester Metropolitan District lobby will remain closed until June 30, 2020. Our drive-thru will remain open for customers who wish to make cash payments.  Our other payment options such as mail, night deposit, IVR phone system (1-833-209-4044), and our online portal are still available. We strongly urge our customers to continue making regular utility bill payments in order to avoid higher-than-normal balances.

On Thursday, May 14, 2020, Governor McMaster rescinded the “Do Not Disconnect Utility Services for Non-Payment” request in a letter to the Public Services Commission.  Non-payment fees and water service disconnections will resume as follows:

Non-payment fees will resume after 5:00 PM on June 5, 2020.

Service disconnections for non-payment will resume on Monday, June 8, 2020.

Payment plans will be available for customers who are experiencing financial hardships related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
