Service transfers require photo identification and proof of residence, and may be requested one of two ways:
In-Person Transfer Application
Please bring your photo ID and proof of residence for your new address to the office. You will be asked to sign a work order authorizing the service transfer, and you may schedule the transfer to occur at a later date.
Online Transfer Application
When filling out the online application form, you will be required to upload your photo ID and proof of residence as part of the application process. A Customer Service Representative will contact you within one (1) business day to confirm your information and schedule your transfer.
Service Transfer Details
Upon transfer of service, you can expect to receive two bills in the next month. The first will be a “Final Bill” for your old residence, which will cover all usage up to the point when our meter crew terminated service at that address. The second bill will be for your new residence, and will include usage on that meter from the time it was connected until its regular reading date.
Both bills must be paid in full to avoid disconnection of service.
Termination of Service
Service terminations require a valid photo ID from the account holder. Requests to terminate service can be made in person at the CMD office, or by filling out the online Service Termination Request form. A copy of the account holder’s ID must be uploaded as part of the submission process.
As with all other services, a Customer Service Representative will contact you within one (1) business day to confirm your request and schedule your service termination.
