CMD Lobby Reopening, Nonpayment Cutoffs, and Community Assistance

For the safety of staff and customers alike, CMD management closed the lobby on January 5, 2021. At that time, all Nonpayment Fees and nonpayment cutoffs were halted.

Lobby Reopening

The CMD Lobby will reopen at limited capacity on March 4, 2021 for all regular business.

Customers will be required to wear face coverings over both mouth and nose while inside the building and follow standard social distancing guidelines. An occupancy limit will be posted on the front doors.

Nonpayment Fees & Cutoffs

Nonpayment fees will resume at 5:00 PM on March 8, 2021 with customers in Cycle 4 and Cycle 9. Nonpayment cutoffs will resume on March 9, 2021 for the same cycles.

Please make sure your bill is current on or before the Nonpayment fee date for your cycle to avoid additional fees and disconnection of service. The Disconnection Schedule for all Cycles can be found here:

Bill Payment Assistance

To help customers return to normal billing schedules, CMD is offering a temporary Bill Repayment Plan for customers who had an active account as of January 5, 2021 and whose accounts are at least one (1) month past due. For more information, please visit our Payment Plan information page below.

Customers suffering from financial hardship are also encouraged to contact the various outreach programs in our area for assistance with bills.

  • All Customers: Carolina Community Actions — (803) 385-5205
  • Great Falls Customers: GRASP — 803-482-4407
  • Fort Lawn/Lando/Richburg Customers: Fort Lawn Community Center — 803-872-4491

To avoid disconnection for nonpayment, a full payment, payment plan, or assistance arrangement must be in place BEFORE 5:00 PM on the Nonpayment Fee Date for your cycle.
